Rafting on the Prut river

Prut River is one of the most complex and interesting rivers of the Carpathians.

It flows from Goverla and falls into Danube. But the most interesting part for rafting is on the distance from Vorokhta to Yaremche.

The main rapids of the river Prut are:

- Vodospadnyy

- Carpathian

- Dovbusha

- Red

- Probii

Most rapids are of the 4th-5th category of difficulty.

Depending on the water level, rafting begins in Mykulychyn or in Yaremche directly (when the water level is low). At the low water level tourists raft in the canoes or small rafts, and overcome Carpathian rapid and one or two steps of Probii.

At the average water level one can raft on rafts or catamarans. When the water level in the Prut river is very high rafting may be canceled or moved to another river.

The main part of the rapid Probii (under the pedestrian bridge in Yaremche) is secure for rafting only when the water level is safe and the participants are well mastered in the technology of rowing and are in good physical shape. The head of the group chooses the participants of the waterfall rafting at his discretion.
