Tymkova skelya cavern

The bottom of crater, in which the entrance to cave is located, is situated on the level of beam bottom with a drainage area in a several square kilometers.
In Spring, when the snow melts, water flows partly on the beam and partly in the cave, it flows across the hundred-meter entrance corridor, the hall «Nahodka». Farther the channel wasn’t explored, but it can be passed.  The water comes on the board of beam in  800 m from cave entrance along the beam. During year water stands in all low places in the cave, under boulder goafs of the entrance corridor, in some places in the «Nahodka» hall.
The walls of cave are covered by slame to the 3 m of height. During considerable flow of waters the cavern overlaps by water siphon  near the entrance, in the «Romantics’» gallery and fully floods the underground channel. Then water runoff flows along the beam in Tsyhanka river.
Basically the cave is horizontal, one-storey. The exceptions are hall-attics «Nebesnyy», «Alygotte», which  hang over the hall «Nahodka» .

The deposits in cave

The residual deposits are represented by slime, which is brought by water to the cave, except the upper halls.
Landslide deposits: the entrance corridor of 40-50 m length is enclosed by landslides. The huge blocky debris are in «Nahodka» hall.
Water-chemogenic deposits: the crystals about 25 cm of length (druses) in «Hide beauty» hall are covered by swamp (slime), they are mat-crystalline.
In one place (in the area of «22th of May» hall) crystals and druses are white to 15 cm of length. Somewhere you can find a lamellar gypsum.
The cavern can’t be used  for excursion aims, it is interesting as hydrogeological object
The rock, in which the entrance to cave is situated, is named Tymkova skelya. After it the cave got its name.
The cave was found in 1973 by speleologists form Borshchiv led by Igor Basalay. They were first who passed it and made a plan of it.

Note: nowadays the channel of the creek still wasn’t passed.
