Winter treking to Hoverla

Winter program for 4 days climbing to the highest mountain of Ukraine Hoverla 2,062 m and radial hiking to the Mount Pozhyzhevska and walk to the pit lake Nesamovyte. The winter weather will be felt warmer due to accommodation in the tourist base and the trekking will be easier as the main part of all stuff will be left in the house and the backpacks will be almost empty.

Physical training and tour difficulty

The cost is calculated for a group from 8 persons.

  • ticket for passing the territory of nature reserve (about 20 UAH)
  • equipment rental (sleeping set, bagpack, ski poles, gaiters).
Day 1

  • meeting of the group on the railway station in Vorokhta. How to get to the tour?
  • breakfast
  • transfer by bus to the Zarosliak touristic base (not far from Vorokhta)
  • trekking from Zarosliak (1250 m above the sea level) to the tourist base (1425 m above the sea level) about 3 km upward the snowy trail. Total climb about 200 m. Pay attention that on this pass we will carry all the stuff in the backpacks. So, don't take any extra weight, leave space for 3-4 kg of common stuff (meal, pots, equipment). Over the next days we'll leave the major part of the stuff in the house and the backpacks will be much easier.

Day 2

  • breakfast
  • pass to the valley of the Nesamovyte Lake (6-7 hours)
  • snack by the route
  • return to the base, dinner
  • overnight 

Day 3

  • early breakfast
  • climbing the Hoverla Mountain, (2062 m), about 6 hours 
  • snacks for the lunch by the way
  • dinner and overnight  

Day 4

  • breakfast 
  • day for entertainment - skating on the slopes, snowballs
  • descent to the Zarosliak base  
  • snacks for the lunch 
  • transfer to Vorokhta. How to get home?

Clothes and boots:
