Treasures of Ternopil region: Mlynky Cave and Verteba Cave

• walking tour in the centre of Ternopil: castle of the XVI century over the lake that on the river Seret, Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross of the XVII century (sample of a medieval church of defensive type), the Nativity Church of the XVII century, Dominican Roman-Catholic Church of the XVIII century

• places of interest in Mykulyntsi: castle of the XIV century, Roman-Catholic Church of the XVIII century and palace of the XVIII century built by Ludviga Potocka

• places of interest in Terebovlya: fortress of the XIV century, walls of which survived the numerous attacks of Turks and Tatars, where brave Sofia Khrzhanovska withstood a 2-weeek siege in the XVII century

• dinner

• transfer to Mlynky Cave, preparation for the trip

• excursion in Mlynky Cave (approx. 4 hours)

• places of interest in Skala-Podilska: remnants of "Stronghold on the rock", a castle of the XIV century and palace of the XVIII century which even in the XIX century welcomed guests, but in the end of the century was burnt by the thunderbolt

• places of interest in Borschiv: Local Lore Museum includes the exposition of the local land history and Trypillia household items discovered by the archaeologists in Verteba Cave

• Cave Museum Verteba is a place where one of the largest Trypillia settlements in the world was found. You can see there traces of Stone Age man, Trypillia pitchers and bones. The major part of the exposition in Krakow Museum is based on Verteba findings.

• places of interest in Monastyrok: ancient temple (with sacrificial stone) in the rock above the canyon of the Seret River

• places of interest in Buchach: ruins of Buchach fortress built in the XIV century by the brothers Buchatcki. In 1672 in Buchach during Turkish-Polish war was signed Buchach peace treaty. Town council of the XVII century was built by architect Bernard Merettiner and sculpture Jan Jerzy Pinzel, creators of Lviv Cathedral of Saint Yura.
