New Year ski week in the Carpathians

New Year and Christmas Tours will acquaint you with the traditions of the land and give an unforgettable winter vacation.
Ski week in the Carpathians is an excellent opportunity to start skiing and actively spend winter vacation in the Ukrainian Carpathians: 4 days of quite simple ski walks among scenic mountain ranges and valleys of the Carpathians, 2 days of skiing in the ski resort "Bukovel" and excursions to local museums of hutsul culture. This trip includes accommodation in a comfortable rural estate. Radial walks do not involve heavy backpack on the shoulders. So nothing will obstruct your relaxation in the mountains. We'll be located in the native land of Prince Mykula, that's Mykulychyn (the longest village in the Carpathians).

Tour scenario:

day 1

  • meeting at the railway station in Ivano-Frankivsk

(from Kyiv: train № 43K Kyiv – Ivano-Frankivsk; departure from Kyiv at 7:16 p.m., arrival to Ivano-Frankivsk at 7:02 a.m.)

  • transfer to Mykulychyn (appr. 2 hours)

  • lodging in the hutsul estate

  • breakfast

  • preparation for the skiing, safety briefing

  • ski walk to Mount Kostel (1049 m), where the highest rock of the Carpathians is located, 15 km

  • supper

day 2

  • breakfast

  • ski walk to Mount Small Roketa (1106 m), 20 km

  • snack while ski walk

  • supper

  • New Year option: New Year Party on Santa Claus’ lawn with a fabulous fire, plays, competitions, songs and dances. New Year photos

day 4

  • breakfast

  • rest day: excursion to the Roman Kumlyk  private museum in Verhovyna, hutsul household “Khata-Hrazhda” and Ivan Franko Museum in Kryvorivnya

  • dinner

  • free time, sauna optionally

  • downhill skiing in the famous ski resort “Bukovel”

  • ski walk to Zhenets Waterfall and Yavirnyk Polonine, 18 km

  • snack while ski walk

  • ski walk Mount Makovytsya, 18 km

  • dinner

  • transfer to Ivano-Frankivsk

(to Kyiv: train № 43L Ivano-Frankivsk – Kyiv; departure from Ivano-Frankivsk at 6:15 p.m., arrival to Kyiv at 6:23 a.m.)

If there is no snow, skiing trip is changed into trekking.
