Combination: rafting on the Dniester + conquering Hoverla and Pip Ivan + rafting on the Cheremosh + museums + Kolomyya

Summer vacations in the Carpathians includes staying in a cosy cottage and everyday intensive program: rafting on a picturesque Dniester, hiking in the mountains, conquering Hoverla, visiting the most interesting museums of the area, rafting on a wild Cheremosh,  and riding the horses. All these plus a hot wood-heated sauna and home cuisine will make you discover the real local colour of hutsul Carpathians.

Day 1

(from Kyiv: train № 43K Kyiv - Ivano-Frankivsk; departure from Kyiv at 6:30 p.m., arrival to Ivano-Frankivsk at 5:45 a.m.)

  • transfer to the starting place of rafting

  • preparation for rafting, safety briefing

  • rafting route on the Dniester: Zolota Lypa village - Koropets, 24 km

  • visiting Count Badenya's palace of the XIX century

  • dinner on the lawn

  • rafting route to Dolyna, 10 km

  • transfer to Dzembronia

  • lodging in a hutsul homestead

  • supper

Day 2

  • breakfast

  • hiking to Hrybkova Mountain, 1238 m (approx. 6 hours)

  • snack in the mountains

  • return to the homestead

  • sauna

  • supper

Day 3

  • breakfast

  • transfer to the starting place of the route (1 hour)

  • climbing the Pip Ivan Mountain, 2028 m (8 - 10 hours) where old Polish observatory is located: you can enjoy the marvellous landscapes of the Chornohora range with its highest peaks (Hoverla, 2061 m; Brebeneskul, 2035 m; Petros, 2020 m), and also the Romanian Carpathians

  • snack in the mountains

  • climbing route passes near the beautiful mountain lake Maricheika. On request walking in the mountains can finish with a picnic at the lake

  • transfer to the homestead

  • supper

Day 4

  • breakfast

  • preparation for rafting, safety briefing

  • rafting (10 km) including the main rapids of the Black Cheremosh (Dzembronya, Old Man's Elbow, White Mare, Huchok, Huck)

  • return to the rafting camp

  • snack

  • rafting to Verkhovyna (20 km): passing the main rapids of the Black Cheremosh (Dzembronya, Old Man's Elbow, White Mare, Huchok, Huck)

  • return to the homestead

  • supper

  • sauna

Day 5

  • breakfast

  • transfer to tourist camp "Zaroslyak" (1,5 hours)

  • safety briefing, preparation for the climbing

  • climbing Hoverla, 2061 m (approx. 6 hours), the highest peak of Ukraine

  • return to the homestead

  • supper

Day 6

  • breakfast

  • safety briefing, preparation for the climbing

  • Hiking the mountain Mahurka, 1024 m (approx. 4 hours)

  • dinner in the homestead

  • excursion in Ivan Franko Museum (Kryvorivnya Village), Museum of Hutsul Everyday life "Khata-hrazhda"

  • horse riding

  • return to the hutsul household

  • supper

Day 7

  • breakfast

  • check out

  • transfer to Bukovets pass

  • walking to the mountain Pysanyi Kamin’ (1221 m), the peak of which is crowned with a huge stone block as big as a multi-stored house (memorial place, where our ancient ancestors pre-Christian pagan temple arranged)

  • transfer to Kolomyya

  • dinner in cafe

  • excursion in the museum “Pysanka”

  • transfer to Ivano-Frankivsk

  • at 5:02 p.m. going home. How to get back home?

(to Kyiv: train № 143 Ivano-Frankivsk - Kyiv; departure from Ivano-Frankivsk at 5:02 p.m., arrival to Kyiv at 6:06 a.m.)
